Mission Statement:
A nonprofit organization, Washington and United States 501(c)(3), founded for the exclusive purposes of: (I) preserving the Cleveland Memorial Forest as a memorial in perpetuity to those Cleveland students who gave their lives in the service of the United States of America, (2) supporting the educational uses in forestry, ecology, botany and environmental studies of the forest and(3) supporting and assisting the students and staff of Cleveland High School in Seattle,Wash., in their educational purposes. Any individual who has attended Grover Cleveland Junior or Senior High School is entitled to be a member of the Cleveland High School Alumni Association.

We are hoping to improve our communication with our alumni members and keep you in touch with classmates that attended CHS. This site is also to let you know what the latest is with good old Cleveland High School.

General Board Meeting
December 6, 2008
Open to all Alumni and there will be door prizes.

Next General Membership meeting will be held on December 6, 2008 and we will be holding board elections. There will be door prizes awarded to former alumni who show up to help vote in the new board members.Read about the canidates who are running here. Golf Tournament Message:

Our Cleveland High School Alumni Association sincerely appreciates all those who supported, attended, and /or played in our Annual Golf Tournament. Willows Run was a great venue and the perfect weather was an added delight. Next year will be even better, given the expanded timeframe within which to prepare and your continued enthusiastic support. Your feedback and suggestions were appreciated.

For those who brought friends, we want to thank them for their support, and we welcome their participation next year as well.

Thank you all for being a part of the Cleveland High School Alumni Association Golf Tournament.

Our combined efforts provide scholarships for continuing educational opportunities to Cleveland Eagles as they leave the nest in pursuit of opportunity.

Watch for our next newsletter, coming out in November. We are looking for stories, pictures, contributions, reunion information, etc. Please feel free to send all articles to Cleveland Alumni Association, P.O.Box 9400, Seattle, WA 98124. Not on the mailing list, please contact Jo Smith, Membership Secretary (chsaajo56@comcast.net or call 425-487-3952 ) to update your address. If you have had a reunion and want to store your info on our data base, please contact Jo Smith with this information too. If you haven't updated your contact information in the past two years, please do so ASAP so that we can insure that you receive your newsletter. Alumni who do not update address or emails can be dropped from mailing list.

Scholarships for the 2009 school year will be announced in the newsletter next year. Anyone interested in serving on the board's scholarship committee is encouraged to contact Jo Smith (425-487-3952). Application for the scholarships will be posted online by January 2009.

CHSAA is looking for ideas for the Website, Newsletters and Needs of the Alumni, be sure to watch for the Alumni Survey coming soon to this Website and in the newsletter.
